The PR-10 station. Packet was run with a small laptop running sound-card interface to an Icom T7H handie-talkie running 5W to a Comet GP-6 antenna. Voice communication was run with an Alinco DR-140 mobile radio running 50W to a home-brew 2m/70cm 300-Ohm twinlead antenna mounted in a piece of PVC pipe. Station power was provided by two 12-V Lead-Acid batteries (one car battery and one Marine Starting battery), connected in parallel, along with a 350W inverter for AC power for equipment requiring 110VAC (laptop and lighting). When the aid-station generator was running, the batteries were recharged with a 13.8V/10A power supply.
